As many of you know, Kahn the Cat suffered a major incident this week and we almost lost him. His lungs filled with fluid because of an enlarged heart. The local vets couldn’t do anything to save him, but said if he could survive a trip to Oregon State University’s Veterinary Hospital that they had specialists who could help. But it was doubtful he would survive the trip so we had to choose: Euthanize or take our chances.
We took our chances.
The overall costs for this incident will be in the thousands of dollars. Kahn was hospitalized in ICU for nearly 48 hours. He is now on five different medications and given a life expectancy of 4-12 months. But he’s alive and mostly himself and we want to make this time as good for him as possible.
In a week, Kahn is releasing a book on Amazon.com to help pay for his medical bills. Please check back here for information on that book. Thanks!
Edit: The book is now available on Amazon.com! It is a 28-page picture book with all royalties going to pay for the vet bills of Kahn the Cat and his sister, CoCo Chanel.
